We are approaching that blessed night when darkness is illuminated by the light of the Qur’an, the gates of the heavens are opened wide, and angels descend to the earth, spreading peace and blessings until dawn. The heart of Ramadan al-Sharif, Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Power)—our prescription for salvation—is a unique opportunity for believers who wish to fit blessings beyond a lifetime into a single night.
So, when will this sacred time—when prayers are not rejected and repentance is accepted—be observed? When is Laylat al-Qadr 2026?
March 15, 2026
According to the religious calendar of the Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet), Laylat al-Qadr—accepted as the 27th night of Ramadan—will be observed on the night connecting Sunday, March 15 to Monday, March 16, 2026.
This night is not an ordinary moment in time. In Surah Al-Qadr, Almighty Allah gives glad tidings that this night is “better than a thousand months.” A thousand months correspond to approximately 83 years—a full human lifetime. This means that an act of worship, a prayer, or a helping hand extended on this night earns rewards as if it were performed continuously throughout an entire lifetime.
As Kardeşim Association, we intend to honor the value and dignity of this night by sharing. While you raise your hands in prayer in mosques or in your homes, we will be delivering your entrusted donations to our brothers and sisters thousands of kilometers away.
On the night of March 15, 2026, in the silent villages of Africa—Tanzania, Uganda, and Chad—the prayers of orphans gathered around iftar tables you helped provide will merge with your own supplications.
That same night, you will become the warm meal a Gazan mother—who has taken refuge in Egypt and is struggling to survive in a makeshift tent—feeds to her child. We are not the only ones waiting for Laylat al-Qadr; oppressed lands longing for hope and light are waiting for this night as well.
One of the most beautiful ways to revive this night is through charity (infāq). If a good deed performed on this night is equal to one performed over a thousand months, then a donation made on this night may be blessed as if you had given charity every day for 83 years.
As Kardeşim Association, we deliver your zakat, fitrah, and sadaqah donations to their rightful recipients on this special night. Let us, on this Laylat al-Qadr:
Be the festive clothing of an orphan in Africa,
Be the sahur table of a Gazan family,
Be a flowing spring in a village suffering from thirst.
Let us not forget: on a night when angels descend to the earth, goodness too should prevail on earth.
May Laylat al-Qadr 2026 become a brand-new, pure, and reward-filled page in all our books of deeds.
May Allah accept in advance your worship and charitable deeds in His divine presence.
May your night be better than a thousand months, and your Eid more beautiful than any other day.
